Assistant or Associate Professor of Sociology.
The Sociology Department at the University of Pittsburgh seeks to fill a position at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. We are looking for candidates who are a good fit with our departmental strengths in the areas of social movements, politics, and culture, but who also help us to expand our range of expertise. In particular, we are looking for candidates with research interests in one or more of the following areas: race, culture, and urban sustainability. Please write a cover letter that describes your research and teaching interests and tell us how you will both fit into our department and expand its expertise. The appointment will be at the tenure-track Assistant Professor or tenured Associate Professor level and will begin in the fall of 2018, pending budgetary approval.
