Job Description: Assistant Professor of Sociology Assistant Professor/Tenure-Track Faculty
North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC. The Department of Sociology and Anthropology is accepting applications for an assistant professor (tenure-track) appointment to begin fall 2017. The successful candidate will have an active research and publication agenda in the sociology of race, ethnicity, and/or immigration. The faculty member hired will contribute primarily to the Inequality: Class, Gender, and Race graduate program area. Strong skills in either quantitative or qualitative research methods, an active research and publication agenda, a record of extramural research funding or promise of such funding, and a commitment to mentoring graduate students should be evident. Commitment to excellent teaching is also expected.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Sociology or related field by time of employment; a strong record of research and publication, including potential for obtaining extramural funding; strong commitment to student mentorship; and complementarity with other graduate program areas.
