The Department of Sociology and Criminology at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park campus, invites applications for a tenure-line position in the sociology department to begin August, 2018.  The rank and area of specialty are open.  Preference will be given to scholars with substantive interests in social institutions, organizations, comparative, race/ethnicity, religion, social movements, culture, social psychology, family, education, stratification, or urban sociology.  Candidates should have a strong publication record and a commitment to securing external funding and teaching and mentoring students.  Junior candidates must have completed their Ph.D. by the time of appointment.
