Assistant Professor of Sociology

Location: Cincinnati, OH

University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sociology position for the Behavioral Science Department, beginning August 15, 2018. UC Blue Ash College is the largest regional college in Ohio offering primarily associate degrees, with an enrollment of approximately 5100 students.

The teaching load for UC Blue Ash College faculty is four sections per term with the possibility of at least one course per term being taught in the evening. The areas of teaching for the respective position include, but are not limited to, Introduction to Sociology and Global Community: Diversity and Interaction. Teaching sophomore level sociology courses is also possible. This is a face-to-face program, but there may be opportunities to teach some online courses. Other responsibilities include participation in departmental/college/university service and involvement in scholarly research and professional development. All positions require proficiency in English information literacy/computer skills.

Minimum Qualifications: Earned PhD in Sociology by August 15, 2018 (area specialization open) with at least 1 year of college-level teaching in sociology.
