Assistant Professor of Sociology

The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of St. Thomas invites applications for a limited-term position at the Assistant Professor level beginning September 1, 2017. The appointment is non-tenure-track and renewable for up to five years. The position involves teaching the department’s quantitative statistics courses, as well as upper level courses in areas such as race and ethnicity, social stratification, or family studies. We are particularly interested in candidates who are willing to support the university’s recently-introduced interdisciplinary minor in data analytics. For full consideration, materials should be submitted by February 15, 2017. Screening interviews will be conducted by phone and will be followed by campus visits.
