Assistant Professor – Race/Ethnicity (2017/18)

The Department of Sociology at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for one tenure-track position at the assistant professor level to begin Fall 2017. Area of specialization is race/ethnicity. Duties include undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, publication, and service to the department, college, and university.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in hand or expected by August 2017, demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence, and have a clearly defined research agenda.

Interested candidates should submit a cover letter that includes a description of current and planned research, current Curriculum Vitae, writing sample, and three letters of reference to: Search Committee Chair, Department of Sociology, University of Texas at Austin, via Review of applications will begin on October 1, 2016.
