The interdisciplinary Department of Human and Organizational Development (HOD) at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College invites applications for faculty positions across our undergraduate major in HOD, our Ph.D. Program in Community Research & Action http://vu.edu/cra and one or both of our master’s programs in Community Development & Action http://vu.edu/cda and Human Development Counseling http://vu.edu/hdc.
The successful candidates will have a productive research program, excellent teaching credentials, and the demonstrated capacity to contribute to one or more of the above programs. These faculty positions provide an opportunity to join a unique, highly productive, diverse and interdisciplinary faculty at a research-intensive university. Tenured Professor (open rank) in Human and Organizational Development: We seek a candidate with strong research in the area of organizational development, service learning, human development, or collaborative / team work. International interests and experience would be a plus. Scholars in psychology, sociology, organizational development, human development, and allied social sciences are welcome. The successful candidate will have a productive research program, excellent teaching credentials, and the demonstrated capacity to provide leadership and enhance instruction at the undergraduate level. In addition to undergraduate teaching in the human and organizational development major, teaching and contributions to the doctoral program in community research and action, and one or both of our master’s programs in community development and action and human development counseling are a plus.
