The Department of Sociology/Anthropology within the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences of Pace University invites applications for an anticipated full-time position at the rank of Lecturer (non-tenure track) to begin September 2018. The Department offers an undergraduate program in Sociology/Anthropology and Urban Studies (minor). The position is located on Pace University’s Pleasantville, New York, campus, which is 40 miles north of New York City. Applicants must have earned a PhD or equivalent in Sociology, with some teaching experience and a research agenda in the broad fields of social inequality, social movements, and/or urban sociology, although applications with research in other subfields are also invited. Teaching responsibilities include Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, Race and Ethnicity, Social Class, and Criminology; candidates will also be encouraged to develop courses related to their areas of expertise.
