The candidate must have a PhD in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or Sociology with expertise in Criminal Justice or Criminology by the start date.
We seek a broadly trained teacher-scholar with expertise in restorative justice and/or policing who will contribute to the growth of a dynamic criminal justice program. Candidates with the ability to teach criminology, race and policing, juvenile justice, and/or restorative justice are preferred.

CRJ program faculty offer courses as part of the Criminal Justice Administration concentration in the Master’s in Public Administration (MPA).
UM-Flint’s mission is built upon three pillars: excellence in teaching, learning and scholarship; student centeredness; and engaged citizenship. Consistent with our mission, the ideal candidate will be a teacher-scholar who can integrate these three pillars to provide the best learning opportunities for our students while working to improve the communities we serve and advancing UM-Flint’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), in accordance with our DEI Strategic Action Plan.
