We welcome candidates who can design experiential learning opportunities that deepen student engagement, such as community-based research, service-learning, or collaborative projects with external partners. These experiences give students the chance to apply theories of race, gender, class, etc. to real-world contexts while developing critical skills in analysis, collaboration, and civic engagement.
We encourage applications from individuals who will help us promote a culture of inclusive excellence at Albion College by showing interest in teaching methods that address the needs of a diverse student body and, when possible, by demonstrating a proven track record of creative activity, scholarship or research that involves students.
Albion College includes in its mission a commitment to “sustaining a diverse, equitable, inclusive and learner-centered, environment where all students feel that they belong.” We recognize that advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is shared work, not invisible labor expected only of women and underrepresented colleagues.
